Injection Training

When undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI), some fertility patients need to receive medications via injection, which are most often done in their home, not in the doctor’s office. Some people find this to be a difficult part of their treatment.

Injections can be subcutaneous (into the fat under the skin) or intramuscular (into the muscle). You can give them to yourself or a partner or person from your support system can do it.
