Dr. William H. Pfeffer

Dr. Pfeffer is chief of reproductive endocrinology of the Main Line Medical System (Bryn Mawr, Lankenau and Paoli Hospitals) and is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.

He graduated from Harvard University magna cum laude. His medical training was at the University of Pennsylvania. Residency and fellowship was at Pennsylvania Hospital. Prior to coming to Philadelphia, he was Head of Reproductive Endocrinology at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Pfeffer belongs to numerous medical organizations including the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologist and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons. He has authored many publications about fertility and surgery and has been awarded an ACOG-Ortho Prize Fellowship in reproductive endocrinology as well as the S. Leon Israel prize of the Philadelphia Obstetrical Society. Dr. Pfeffer remains a perennial choice as "Top Doc" by Philadelphia Magazine. When not in the office he may be found at the piano or riding his horse.
